Terms of Service
Cancellation Policy
Filipina Maid recognizes that in today’s busy world unplanned issues do occur. We understand the occasional need to cancel your appointment and we will always try to work with you. As a courtesy, we ask that you cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance to allow us to appropriately distribute staff and possibly schedule another client. Appointments canceled less than 4 hours prior to your scheduled service will incur a $35 cancellation fee.
Right of Access
If Filipina Maid housekeepers arrive for your scheduled cleaning and access to your home or office is denied, you will be liable for the full amount of the cleaning service for that particular appointment.
Security
Your security and peace of mind is a priority to us. For your protection, all keys and alarm codes to your home or office are coded and kept in a safety box; the keys will leave our office only on the day of the service. After each cleaning, we will arm your home or office’s alarm system to ensure your continued security. In addition, our employees are drug-tested, screened for past criminal history, and background verified. For your protection, we maintain proper licensing and insurance.
Cleaning Supplies/Equipment
Our housekeepers will arrive at your home or office with all the cleaning products and equipment needed to perform the services you requested. For sanitary reasons, most of our clients prefer that we use some of their cleaning tools - such as their vacuum cleaner, broom, mop and toilet bowl brush. If you prefer, we will gladly utilize our own cleaning tools.
Payment Policy
For a new client, Filipina Maid may only accept payment by cash or credit card. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. We will authorize your credit card on the day prior to your cleaning. After your scheduled cleaning, your credit card will be charged for the full amount. You will receive an electronic receipt at your email address.
Non-Payment Policy
Please provide Filipina Maid with correct credit card information if requested before the day of cleaning. If your credit card cannot be authorized for payment, we will contact you to verify your card information. If the card still cannot be authorized for payment, your account will be subject to the cancellation policy.
Valuables and Breakable/Fragile Items
Please safely secure heirlooms, valuables, breakable items and collectibles prior to cleanings. If you collect glass, china, statues or any fragile decorative items that are display in the open, we suggest that you secure them prior to cleaning. Although we take great care in cleaning and being careful - we cannot replace one of a kind antiques or collectibles. The very act of cleaning correctly and thourougly may put delicate items at risk.
Pets
We love pets. However, if your pet becomes anxious or presents a safety concern, Filipina Maid reserves the right to remove its employees from your home. If an employee leaves your home prior to completion for this reason, Filipina Maid will charge you a pro-rated expense based on work performed. If removal of our housekeepers is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply.
Employee safety
Filipina Maid reserves the right to remove its employees from your home should the environment become unsafe, our cancellation policy will apply.
Additional Projects
Filipina Maid will gladly do additional services such as organizing, window cleaning or some limited laundry services at an additional charge, please inquire with our office. If you desire a different set than your current linens, please provide all linens in the appropriate bedroom. Place all laundry cleaning supplies in a clearly visible area. We typically do not use bleach. Should you require our cleaners to use bleach, we assume no liability for any accidents due to the use of bleach.
Step Stool / Ladder Policy
Filipina Maid will not allow its cleaning professionals to use ladders or step stools higher than 3 inches for the safety of our employees if this is not arranged beforehand directly with our office.
Large and Heavy Items
For safety and liability reasons, Filipina Maid will not allow its cleaning professionals to lift or move heavy items or furniture. We can, however, arrange for them to be moved with prior notice such as for deep cleaning, move in or move out services.
Fireplaces
Due to the health risks associated with the inhalation of soot from fireplaces, Filipina Maid does not clean soot from fireplace. We will gladly clean around the fireplace. If you desire your fireplace cleaned, we can refer a reputable company to assist you.
Caulking and Grout
Filipina Maid does not assume responsibility for the restoration of severely worn, stained or mildewed caulking and grout.
Window Cleanings
If window cleaning is desired, arrangements should be done beforehand with our office.
Damages
Filipina Maid cleaning professionals promise to conduct themselves professionally in your home. In the event of an accidental damage, notify our office within 48 hours. We cannot guarantee reimbursement for damages reported more than 48 hours after the end of the cleaning appointment. Filipina Maid requests that you are accessible to be contacted so that we can or our representatives can assess and repair any damages. If more than a week has elapsed after the damage was reported and you have not provided Filipina Maid and/or its contractors with access to your home, your damage claim will be considered void.
Filipina Maid will not reimburse a client’s assignee for claimed damage repairs. Instead, we reserves the right to contract suitable professionals to repair damages. Filipina Maid will make payment arrangements directly to its contractors to settle any damage repair.
Service Guarantee
We proudly stand behind our work. Should our service fall short of your ultimate satisfaction, kindly notify us within 24 hours. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds; however, we will re-clean at our expense. Our guarantee will be null and void after 24 hours.
Direct Hiring of Our Housekeepers
Filipina Maid invests heavily in training methods, advertising and marketing materials, should you wish to hire one of our Housekeepers directly, a charge of a minimum of 15 (Fifteen) times the assessed value of your cleaning service will become immediately payable and due. By directly hiring one of our housekeepers, you automatically agree to this condition.
